WCFO Achievements

The World Canine Freestyle Organisation hold video competitions four times per year - March, June, September and December. The competition categories are Heelwork to Music (HTM) and Musical Freestyle (MF). In the Adult division, there are 4 competition levels - Beginners, Novice, Intermediate and Advanced.

Points are earned based on Technical Merit and Artistic Impression. Both criteria attract a maximum of 10 points.

Technical Merit (TM) - Considerations are content, execution, flow, difficulty and timing.
Artistic Impression (AI) - Considerations are attitude, interaction, creativity, musical interpretation, use of ring, costume and spectator appeal.

Beginners - Title - W-FD/MF
The routine time must be between 1.30 to 2.15 minutes and can be performed on or off lead. In order to obtain a title at this level two performances must be submitted. Each of these performances must attract a minimum average score of 7.3 in both
Technical Merit and Artistic Impression.

This is the first entry for Lilli and Sophie in the WCFO Beginners' Pairs Competition, in December 2009, where they were placed first in their division, with highest scores for both Technical Merit and Artistic Impression.

Five year olds Lilli and Sophie were designed to be a couple from their first meeting at Freestyle lessons.  The two Standard Poodles have become best friends, enjoying both working together and playing together.

It has been a challenge to get two dogs (let alone two handlers) to move at the same pace for a variety of moves, but the four of them have all had a great time working on their routine, and are currently working on their next one with the same enthusiasm and enjoyment.
